Smile welfare foundation is a legally registered, not-for-profit voluntary organization working for the upliftment of underprivileged children. Smile is managed by a group of young professionals working in various backgrounds. We believe that meaningful & quality education is one of the important ingredients in the development of children. It transforms children into confident and bold individuals ready to take on the challenges ahead in their life. This eventually will make them successful & responsible human beings contributing to the well being of their family & the Society. Over the years SMILE has aligned itself towards the educational facet of the child development through its various projects.

In 2004, 20 youngsters just out of their colleges and onto their first jobs, believed that they had it in them to change the lives of those less fortunate people around them. They believed that a better world and a better society could be created by them. So SMILE WELFARE FOUNDATION was born on the shores of the Besant Nagar Beach, in Chennai on April 4, 2004. Today, SMILE WELFARE FOUNDATION, has changed many lives, replaced frowns with Smile’s in many faces. And the journey continues...

We don't know how many years it will take us to do it, but it will continue till the day we don't see any kid on the streets begging and picking the rags and instead study in schools or playing in the playground enjoying the innocence of their childhood.
